Whew, y’all… we’re on this #ROADTORETAIL but why do I feel like I’m strapped to the back of the truck getting dragged down the street?! This direct, door-to-door sales strategy is not for the weak. I’m realizing I really have to show up EVERY day with this outreach. But we’re moving, we’re learning, and we’re getting AURGANICS into the hands of more people who need it. Let’s talk about what’s been going down behind the scenes.

The goal: Secure 1 new wholesale partner (esthetician or retail)

We sent out 10 samples and have 4-5 strong leads in the pipeline. Now? It’s all about the follow-up. If you think sending samples means people will immediately place an order – no ma’am. We are the KING of follow-up right now. Building relationships, answering their questions, and making sure they understand why AURGANICS belongs on their shelves. And we’re tracking every move in our CRM to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Some BIG updates

  • We’re now (re)hiring for a Retail CRM intern! Interested in gaining hands-on sales experience at a beauty startup? Learn more here.

  • Our big goal for March is to secure our next wholesale partner. What that means is I’ve been grinding almost every day – finding retailers, sending DMs, and building our spreadsheet.

  • We officially have 100 emails in our CRM, and it’s time to ramp up. We’re going for quality over quantity–strategically finding other businesses that believe in a stress-free skincare experience just like we do. Of course, our Retail CRM Intern will take outreach to the next level, but for now, I’m locked in.

  • Understanding estheticians’ decision-making process will be key to securing these partnerships, so I really hope we can secure some more calls (aka user research meetings) with potential partners. Social team is helping get us in front of more potential partners, and Lupe is building out the B2B flow to keep things moving on the backend.

Looking forward

Next quarter, my goal is to get us on Amazon, so that we can start outsourcing our operations (aka move things out of my apartment) and reach more glow-getters like you! 

We’re also excited to launch our new retail materials, like our custom product boxes, at our retailer, The Self-Care Marketplace in Raleigh, North Carolina. Q2 is about to be major.

But the main focus right now is landing that first wholesale partner. Everything else is just gravy. 

AURGANICS isn’t just about a product. It’s about making stress-free skincare accessible to all, not just who society deems worthy. We’re here to shift the industry, and this is how we’re doing it.
