We all know every great business has a meaningful story behind it. Why did you start Vitalé Rescue?
"I started because I’ve always loved being in the beauty industry. Just growing up around a mother who did hair, and that wasn’t just her main hustle, but that’s something that she would do on the side. My grandmother would always look very nice and presentable for church and other events. I've just always been immersed in the women in my life who loved beauty and that nature. As I went into middle and high school, I really found a love for hair. And then, as I've gotten older, I've just gotten really deeply into skincare. And from there it just immersed into me, becoming an esthetician"
Along your journey, you've worked with many different skincare brands. Why Aurganics?
"Yes, I chose to partner with Aurganics because I love your philosophy, what you stand for in terms of, you know, corrective melanated skin. I feel like, with melanated skin, it can be very complex to understand how dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and related issues work. And it's a journey, you know what I mean? So I think that, with y'all's products, I love the overall formula and just how everything comes together."

What's your favorite way to use Alpha Glow?

"I love to use it right after I cleanse my skin. Well, I'll probably put on a nice rose water spray, then go in with the serum, and apply my sunscreen or moisturizer right after. So definitely like to layer it.

But overall, I like to keep my routine very simple. You don't have to overwhelm your skin's barrier with all these different types of ingredients, which is why I love the Glow Serum: its very simple ingredients, its lightweight formula, and how it just feels super nice on the skin. Like a nice, like reset."
Now, we want to get to know more about you! What's your go-to cafe order?
"I love Matcha. Matcha is one of my go-tos. I love it with a nice almond milk, French vanilla. And then sometimes I'll do a dirty chai tea when I need a little shot of espresso. But I try to stay away from caffeine."
What is one of your morning rituals?
"As of lately, I've been loving to have slower mornings. So I definitely like to start my mornings with a nice, warm cup of tea. I know the girlies are doing like hot water and stuff, but I'm like, I need a little extra, you know, some honey, some something. So I like a nice, like chamomile or green tea in the morning and then of course, I always try to like brain dump and journal in some way or just move my body, whether it's taking a walk or a little yoga in the morning."
When you're not at the spa or working, what do you like to do in your free time?
"Yes, so lately I've been really just wanting to incorporate more fitness, especially now that the weather is beautiful. I love walks in the park; I like to move my body, and then, outside of that, hang out with family and friends, whether it's going to a movie, grabbing a bite to eat, or something like that. Spending quality time."
We know skincare can be quite controversial. As a professional, what is your skincare hot take?
"A skincare hot take, I would say retinols and different retinols are not ideal for certain skin types. So, especially people who are more acne-prone, cystic. I definitely don't believe in retinol because I feel like, you know, everyone's like, retinol, retinol, which is great for the skin, especially with fine lines and things like that, smoothing the texture. Still, it's just not ideal for everybody. So I would think that retinol. Just be careful with them."
And this is one of our favorite questions: What's been on your playlist lately?
"I'm such an old school type of girl. But honestly, lately, I would say "Like That" by Victoria Monet. I like that song. That's a really good song. You know, it gets me hyped to go to the gym.

Oh, gosh. When I tell you I've also been bumping a little bit of Babyface. I love R&B, and nice flowy music. I have also been loving Olivia Dean. And then of course, Summer Walkers."

trivia time!

Looking back, what advice would you give to your younger glow-getter self?
"I would definitely say just be confident in what you want to do, and it's okay to second-guess yourself. But that one instinct where you feel that you, I feel like it's all about feeling. And once you feel something really deeply, you have to go and get it. I definitely say listen to that inner voice and follow it."
As an esthetician, your job requires you to take care of so many people. What does a good self-care day look like for you?
"I like to make a nice meal. My go-to meal is a steak, especially when it's that time of the month. So I definitely love making steak and some greens, too. And then I like to do a face mask or a foot mask. Definitely do a bath. You know, soak in the bath for like an hour or so, light some candles, you know, just kind of care for myself, then watch a good show or pick up a book, which I need to kind of get better at. I'm like an audible junkie. But yeah, I think that's an ideal self-care day."
And for our last question: when you are feeling overwhelmed, what keeps you motivated?
"Sometimes just sitting with myself and ruminating on all the things that I've accomplished thus far and just trying to keep that same, like, frequency in a way, if that makes sense. So. But I mean, on the outside of myself, you know, definitely my family, you know, I'm very family-oriented. So, you know, my cousins and I, my first cousins, are more like siblings. So, you know, they definitely won't let me give up. So I definitely say family for sure."
