Road to Retail: Glow Log 001 ✨

Glow-getters, it’s time to let you in on something BIG. We’re officially entering our Road to Retail era—aka our mission to get AURGANICS into more esthetician studios, spas, and retail shelves so you can find Alpha Glow Serum where you already shop.

But this journey is more than just expanding AURGANICS – it’s personal.

I grew up thinking my skin was a burden. Something I had to “fix”, hide, and constantly feel annoyed with. Skincare products just weren’t made for me, and the ones that claimed to be always came with irritation, dryness, or that unspoken message that skin of color either 1) doesn’t exist or 2) is “too difficult” to deal with. Even now, I’m still unlearning that. 

That’s why I created AURGANICS. I wanted to build a space where Black and brown people could finally have access to high-quality, gentle, non-irritating skincare—where our skin is something worth celebrating. Where our skin is worth more than gold.

Fun fact: The name AURGANICS ⇒ Au (atomic symbol for gold) + organic (because we use 100% plant-powered ingredients)

The Journey So Far

We started our Road to Retail earlier this month. Since doing so, we’ve been pitching and connecting with retailers across Durham, Raleigh, and the Triangle! 

What we’ve learned so far? This process takes time. Longer than we expected. It’s really not as simple as just about sending one email or making one pitch. It is a longggg game…. but it’s worth it. So we’re in the relationship-building phase. Courting, if you will. We want to make sure our wholesale partners really know AURGANICS before they bring it into their spaces. And we’re ready to do what it takes.
