By now, we all know to wear sunscreen (and to reapply every 2-3 hours), but there are some important spots that we tend to miss. When was the last time you put sunscreen on your ears? By hitting these five hotspots with some SPF, we can keep our skin extra protected when we’re outside!
Did you know that ears are the third most common location for skin cancer? Don’t skip them!
2. Your eyelids
While the best way to protect your eyelids from the sun is by wearing sunglasses, sunscreen helps your skin avoid tan lines and stay glowing! Make sure to always be gentle around your eyes, applying with your ring or pinky finger as they have the lightest touch.
You can use a lip balm with SPF to keep your lips protected! Be sure to reapply after you eat or drink.
4. The back of your neck
We usually drag our sunscreen down to our neck, but be sure to get the back too, especially if you’re wearing your hair up!
5. Your hands
Your hands are almost always exposed to the sun, so don’t forget them!Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection, with at least 30 SPF. While it may seem like a lot, apply a generous layer of sunscreen. We’re talking a quarter-size amount. Don’t worry, it’ll blend!
